4 Natural Remedies for Treatment of Acne

Lemon juice can help for numerous reasons. They are rich source of vitamin C, which is good for all skin types, and is a citric acid, which helps "exfoliate" skin. Most importantly it is a good astringent. An astringent will cause contraction of tissues causing lesions dry. It also serves as a whitening of the skin and helps reduce redness.  Face should be washed thoroughly before exposure to the sun, as it can cause sensitivity and irritation. Rub a slice of lemon on the affected area and leave for a few hours; then rinse the face with water. You can also mix lemon juice with rose water in equal amounts and use the solution to wash the affected areas.



Aloe is an indispensable remedy in the medicinal garden, has been used for centuries and is an essential ingredient in many cosmetic products. Transversely cut the stems of the plant and place the pulp directly on the affected areas, allow it to act on the skin.



The tomato is not only a staple in the kitchen, its acidity and lycopene (a powerful antioxidant) it contains are safe for the health of the skin that helps in the treatment of acne and scars. You can grind or crush the tomato to have a thick consistency and apply as a face mask.



Sandalwood and rosewater are very effective in eliminating blemishes caused by acne. Mix 1 teaspoon of sandalwood powder and 1/2 tablespoon of rose water to form a paste. Apply on the pimples and leave for overnight. Upon waking, remove it with cold water.
