1. Antioxidants

The antioxidants found in all kinds of foods, including fruits, vegetables, fish and oils. One of its functions is to fight free radicals , which are responsible for the deterioration of healthy cells.

Although many antioxidants that may be beneficial for the skin, two in particular we can do much to improve its appearance:

Vitamin C . It helps form collagen, providing greater elasticity to the skin. It is present in whole grains, apples and citrus.

Vitamin E . It protects cell membranes and strengthens the skin with nutrients that fight the damage from ultraviolet radiation (UV). It lies in the wheat germ oil and almonds.
Other antioxidants such as selenium, thiamine, beta-carotene and zinc help improve skin appearance.

2. Solar Protection

When using sunscreen, not only we protect ourselves from diseases such as skin cancer , but we are also helping to prevent the signs of aging skin that come from sun exposure.

To protect the skin from the effects of sun is recommended to use a protective cream or lotion with sun protection factor (SPF) greater than 15 and apply it at least 20 minutes before sun exposure. Thus, the active ingredients have time to act before it begins UV exposure. It is advisable to reapply after swimming or if you've sweated a lot.

3. Essential Fatty Acids

Essential fatty acids are an important component of any healthy diet. They help build cell membranes lipid-based to keep water and nutrients within. In the case of skin lipids also form an oil barrier that protects the skin from UV rays and pollutants.

Water is an essential component of the body; between 55 and 75% of the body is water . Water flushes toxins from the body, allowing our cells absorb nutrients and keeps our digestive processes, among other functions.

5. Cleaning
