6 Natural Remedies for Seborrheic Dermatitis

Seborrheic dermatitis is a skin disorder that mainly affects the scalp and causes flaking yellowish skin, oily skin, redness, swelling, itching and dandruff; it can affect the face, ears, chest and other body areas where the sebaceous glands abound.

Although not known with certainty the cause that causes seborrheic dermatitis, can be aggravated by a yeast infection, certain medical conditions affecting the nervous and immune, in periods with hormonal changes or may relate to the genetic system.

You can also suffer from seborrheic dermatitis, if you have stress, fatigue, obesity, or use topical products with alcohol.



Natural Remedies for Seborrheic Dermatitis:

Following natural remedies can be applied to treat seborrheic dermatitis.

Tea tree oil:

It is useful in treating dandruff also applied directly to the skin, promotes drying, cure damaged skin and prevent infection. Better pour a few drops of tea tree oil and almond oil to avoid itching and irritation, which can be caused by this oil when applied directly.

Aloe vera:

The application of aloe vera in seborrheic dermatitis significantly reduces itching and flaking and promotes fewer hit points.

Apple cider vinegar:

Apple cider vinegar is effective home remedy for seborrheic dermatitis. It is applied to the entire scalp massaging gently with fingertips, is allowed to act approximately 20 minutes and rinsed, it can be used 3 or 4 times a week.

Sodium bicarbonate:

Make a paste of baking soda and a small amount of water. Add a few drops of olive oil extra virgin. Massage the scalp and hair with the paste and leave it on for 30 minutes before finally washing with tap water.

Fenugreek: 

Soak three tablespoons of fenugreek seeds in water overnight. The next morning grind the dough until it forms a paste. Rub the paste on the scalp for thirty minutes and then rinse with water.

Thyme:

Boil two cups of water and then add four tablespoons of dried thyme. Simmer for ten minutes before straining the mixture. Once cool, mix with hair shampoo. Gently massage the hair and scalp. Do not rinse. Use the other half of the mixture the next day.


Wash your hair regularly. If possible, wash your hair with shampoo every day to treat seborrheic dermatitis. Gently massage and rub your scalp to loosen the flakes. Avoid scratching the scalp to prevent abrasions and wounds. Change shampoo as needed to prevent dandruff get immune to shampoo ingredients. Always rinse thoroughly.
