Ways to Reduce Cellulite | Causes & Classification

What is Cellulite?

Cellulite is the appearance of dimpled or lumpy skin around the hips, thighs and buttocks have been a cosmetic problem for women since the 1920s, when the term was first used. Cellulite has a number of reasons, the most prevalent are the diet and genetic predisposition. There is ample evidence that the appearance of cellulite is a natural state, inextricably linked to the aging process and there is no real solution.

Classification of Cellulite:

Cellulite is often classified using three grades:
Class 1: cellulite sees no clinical symptoms, but a microscopic examination of the cells in the area detects underlying anatomical changes.
Class 2: cellulite requires skin to show pallor (pastiness), being lower temperature, and decreased elasticity, in addition to anatomical changes noted on microscopic examination.
Class 3: cellulite is visible bumps in the skin (like an orange) along with all grade 2 characters.

Ways to Reduce Cellulite:

Exercise:

Weight loss combined with exercise can reduce the appearance of cellulite on the body. Cellulite consists of enlarged fat pockets under the skin, combined with a tightening of the connective tissue between these pockets. Therefore, a reduction in the overall content of the fat, combined with exercise targeted build muscle in the upper legs and buttocks, will help to tighten the skin and reduce the appearance of cellulite.

Diet:

Diet alone is not effective in reducing the appearance of cellulite. Since the diet is only effective to reduce the body's stores of fat, it cannot strengthen and tightening the muscles of the legs and buttock. Dieting has proved very effective when combined with exercise that concentrates on the muscles of the lower body.

Cellulite removal Creams:

Creams and other chemical agents that eliminate cellulite have repeatedly proven to not work effectively. Although such commercial products can tighten the skin covering the cellulite, thereby reducing the incidence of herniated fat, they do not have the capacity to undo the underlying cause.

Physical Treatments for Cellulite:

Physical treatments for cellulite are occasionally been proven effective, and includes massage therapy, FDA-approved laser treatment, surgery and ultrasound treatments. The effects of laser treatments and massage therapies are considered temporary and should not be seen as a permanent fix for cellulite, but rather a repair method requires multiple treatments.
